PhD Position in Image Analysis at CEREMADE 2010-2013

Marie-Curie PhD Fellowship in collaboration with CEREMADE and Technion

on

Geodesic methods for Image Processing


under supervision of Professors Alfred Bruckstein and Laurent Cohen


Start: October 2010


This three-year project is funded by the EU project FIRST (www.mat.ucm.es/~FIRST)

This is open to any applicant who has not lived in France or in Israel for more than 12months out of the last five years.


Two years will be spent at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, in Haifa, Israel

in the team of Professor Alfred Bruckstein (http://www.cs.technion.ac.il/~freddy/).

One year will be spent at CEREMADE, University Paris Dauphine in Paris, France

in the team of Professor Laurent Cohen (http://www.ceremade.dauphine.fr/~cohen).

We are seeking a candidate with a background in applied mathematics and Image processing, with programming skills, and an interest in numerical simulation. Interested candidates can contact Laurent COHEN (cohen@ceremade.dauphine.fr) for more details.

CEREMADE is a large lab in Applied Mathematics, located in Paris, France,

with a team in Image Analysis (2 faculties, 4 Phd, 3 Postdoc, and more),

working mainly on Variational methods and Partial Differential Equations for Image Analysis.
