EFI is a collaborative research project funded by the French Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR) for the period 2017-2020. It is coordinated by Jean Dolbeault (Paris-Dauphine) and Arnaud Guillin (Clermont-Ferrand) and connects mathematicians across several research centers in France. EFI means Entropy, Flows, Inequalities. It is motivated by the study of mathematical models arising in biology and physics, and centered around probabilistic and non-linear analysis methods known as entropy methods.
