In joint work with Jon Keating and Jon Warren, by developing a connection with the Hua-Pickrell measures and using a probabilistic approach, we establish these asymptotics for general real values of the exponents which proves a conjecture from the thesis of Hughes from 2001. |

On considère des matrices indépendantes distribuées suivant la mesure de Haar sur U(n) ou O(n) et on démontre que leurs représentations sont fortement asymptotiquement libres dans l'orthogonal d'un espace vectoriel de petite dimension. Pour le cas le plus simple q = 1 de la représentation fondamentale, on retrouve un résultat de Collins et Male avec un argument complètement différent.
