Conference Sites

All talks will take place at the Ecole Normale Supérieure, 29 rue d'Ulm 75005 Paris, Amphitéatre Jean-Jaures.

Poster Sessions will be held at the Esclangon building in Université Pierre et Marie Curie, 4 place Jussieu 75005 Paris.

It is a 10 minutes walk from Ecole Normale Supérieur to the Esclangon Building. Please see a possible itinerary bellow.

Getting to Paris

Airports

There are two main airports near Paris, informations can be found here
  • Orly Airport situated in the south of Paris. Access by Public transport via Bus or Orlyval and RER line B
  • Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport: situated in the North of Paris. Access by Public transport via RER line B.
In both cases it takes around 30 minutes to get to the center of Paris.
Taxis are in general more expensive especially from Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport (around 50€).

Train

The main train stations are situated within Paris and quite close to the center.

Transports In Paris

Public Transport

RATP is the company in charge of public transports in Paris. You can buy tickets at any Metro station in Paris, as well as at the airports. A ticket for 5 days will cost you less than 40 euros, for an unlimited number of trips inside Paris (Zone 1 to 3). See there for information. If you want to get out of Paris (in the suburb) several times, you can purchase an extended Visit Ticket (Zone from 1 to 5). Be careful, airports are not included in the Paris Visit ticket for Zone 1 to 3. You will have to buy an additional ticket to come and go back to the airport. Airports are included in the Paris Visit ticket Zone 1 to 5.

To reach the conference site, the easiest is to take the RER line B (blue) to the station Luxembourg or the metro line 7 (pink) to Place Monge.

Bike

You can also use the Bike rental service Velib . You will find many stations all around Paris.

Lodging

It is now time to book you hotel. There is a huge offer of lodging in Paris. If you want a classical hotel, booking.com will offer a large range of prices. Airbnb is also an option, especially if you want to share a flat. For much cheaper lodging you can try the hostels.

Note that, moving in Paris using public transport (metro, bus, RER, tramway, bike) is really easy and fast. Because the conference takes place in the center of Paris, it is typically accessible from anywhere in Paris within less than 40 minutes.

Social diner

The conference diner will take place on the 29th of June 2017 at the restaurant Chez Françoise .
